Flashcards for 2nd grade Textbook 2016

flashcard

This is my last day with my mother in law and I have to seize the day. Anyway! I have finally made the flashcards to go with my fan-praised textbook. It’s black and white so you can color at will or your printer works like that!

2nd Homemade Textbook 2016

2u201

I finally re-edited this year textbook: HOME edition. Honestly, I didn’t do much, just added the spelling bee section at the beginning and I corrected two mistakes (like in the page below: BALTA is wrong. It should be BALTE). That’s it!

Flashcards for 1st Grade Textbook 2016

So hello world! I am still busy but not so much for at least one week. My mother in law is on town and I am almost childless.

CAM00659

So, I have finally made the flashcards to go with my fan-praised textbook. It’s black and white so you can color at will or your printer works like that.

I am so proud of myself

I am so proud of myself

I haven´t done many changes in comparison with last year. I only changed the front page and a couple of layouts in other pages.

Ready to start

My Homemade Textbook New Edition 2015

Reflexions after a secondary reunion... the diet theory

Last year, I made a textbook if you didn´t know. More info, PRESS ON TEXTBOOK TAG

This year, I updated, made changes and correct mistakes for this year.

CLICK TO DOWNLOAD ON PDF: 2nd year

Note: This is homemade and without any comercial relationship with any publisher company.

Note 2: I eliminate the Unit 5, because honestly I never make it that far. In Sonora, we end the school year 3 weeks earlier than the rest of the country, and minus 2 weeks in the Winter Break and 2 other weeks in the Easter Break…. Well, I’m lucky if I finished the Unit 4.

Note 3: It’s designed to be printed on both sides of the page, except for the cover.

Sharing Last Year Lesson Plans – 1st Grade of Secondary

I love that movie!

I love that movie!

I am a little selfish and self-guarded when it comes to my work, like most of us, but I believe in sharing when you are no longer using it, when you tried and you are pleased by the outcome.

Last year, our Teacher Training Boss, Jefe de Enseñanza, asked us to plan by unit and daily. Honestly, I hate daily planning but I have done it for a long time so I can do it.

Note 1: I don´t have the whole weekly thing because we were told in December and I totally forgot the last project.yeswecan03

Note 2: It´s using Yes, We Can 1 as our textbook

Note 3: It´s not perfect. There are hundreds of mistakes.

Note 4: Yes, that´s my whole full and super long name.

Unit 1 Monthly
Unit 2 Monthly Weekly 2b
Unit 3 Monthly Weekly 3a, Weekly 3b
Unit 4 Monthly Weekly 4a, Weekly 4b
Unit 5 Monthly Weekly 5a

Yes, We Can! Secondary Review

yeswecan03

We received finally more textbooks to replace the deficient supply we received at the beginning of the school year. We got a full load of Yes, We Can Secondary by Richmond.

yeswecan02

I must say that I like it a lot. I used All Ready last year and it’s good but sometimes it’s too advanced. Okay, let’s start this review.

LIKES

  • The audios are quite clear and comprehensible (at least in 1st grade which I taught this year)
  • The textbook is not too heavy.
  • The activitivies are diverse, up to the point and level.
  • The instructions are simple (you wouldn’t believe how many textbook complicate themselves and myself with the instructions)
  • The readers book has texts according to the topic.
  • The color scheme and layout is pleasant to the eye in most of the pages.

DISLIKES

  • As always, I have complained that the readers book is in shades of grey (no best-seller novel).
  • The paper quality and binding are not perfect. I am already losing pages by the daily use. They are ungluing.

Overall it’s a good option for a textbook. If you have it, take care of it. If you don’t have. I almost have all the package from the audios, teachers books and I’m scanning the textbooks (1st grade complete). If you want them, send me a comment.

Sharing a Second Grade Textbook (Unit 5 and complete)

2u501

As my Second grade moms requested, I am on this. I am revising everything. I really wanted to this over the next summer… whatever.

I still don’t like 2nd grade syllabus. It feels weird. I see the books and I really don’t understand a lot of things. Well, I did my best. I will use this year and polish for next year.

For this fifth unit, I only made one project. I really don’t like project 5A because Second Graders don’t see America Geography until later. I retook the project 5A of First Grade which I didn’t do in the First Grade textbook for two reasons:

  1. Geography of Mexico is coming next.
  2. I felt it was important to see it.

To download, please click here for Unit 5 and click here for the WHOLE thing.

Recommendations:

  1. Homemade and not affiliated to a publisher house.
  2. The images are from the Internet. I apologize in advance.
  3. It’s made in black and white to let students color.
  4. If any big mistake, please tell me soon before I go to the copy shop.
  5. I checked 3 different textbook to assemble this.
  6. I am not getting a single cent for this. I lost hours doing mom work for this. Don’t remind me.

Sharing a homemade textbook 2nd grade (Unit 3 & 4)

2u301

As my Second grade moms requested, I am on this. I am revising everything. I really wanted to this over the next summer… whatever.

I still don’t like 2nd grade syllabus. It feels weird. I see the books and I really don’t understand a lot of things. Well, I did my best. I will use this year and polish it for next year.

To download, please click here for Unit 3 and click here for Unit 4. Hopefully, I will have the rest before October ends.

Recommendations:

  1. Homemade and not affiliated to a publisher house.
  2. The images are from the Internet. I apologize in advance.
  3. It’s made in black and white to let students color.
  4. If any big mistake, please tell me soon before I go to the copy shop.

Two days ago, I was asked what software do I use. I’m lazy and simple. If you are wondering the same, I used POWERPOINT 2007 which is the one that came with my laptop. I don’t use nothing out of ordinary really. PAINT when I need it.

Even more to share: 1st grade textbook (Unit 4-5)

u401

This is still homemade. It’s not affiliated to any publisher house or something like that. I don’t have intellectual property in most of the images and pictures here. It’s for educational purposes and I am NOT obtaining any income for this. Actually, I’m losing time with my kids and sleep hours.

u501

For the PDF file, please CLICK HERE FOR UNIT 4 and CLICK HERE FOR UNIT 5. Please read the NOTES BELOW.

If you got tired of the parts… Here it is the final complete thing (this one has changes on the final draft = 113 pages of sheer awesomeness)

Recommendations and notes (same as before):

  1. It’s meant to be black and white so the kids can color. It’s therapeutic and it helps them with the fine motor skills.
  2. It’s for both side of the page. You have to save trees.
  3. It’s not in any moment a replacement of your current textbook (at least not officially). You can use it as workbook, or homework book.
  4. If you are wondering, I check for different 5 textbooks (a friend lent me another) to make it, also what happened last year into consideration to make this textbook.
  5. It’s not perfect. Any error, mistake, omission or such, please notice me.
  6. If you are teaching 2nd grade for the first time and last year your students didn’t have English, you can totally use it. Most of the achievements are really similar in both grades.
  7. If you share it, just mention me. I would hate that this comes back to my hands in a CD for sell or something like that. Oh, all right then!
  8. Any doubts, send me a comment with email if you are not subscribed to my blog.
  9. If you are wondering why the page numbers go from 1-20, well, those are the one they should learn and it’s better to take out copies. I think. I don’t know really.
  10. For unit 5, I must be honest. I had never done the last project in years. It’s never time to finish, so I do a review instead of project, SO there is no 5A. Why? Because I felt it was more important project 5B than 5A.
  11. You need the audio for one lesson. It’s right here in unit 4.
  12. You will need a song called Working with no rest in unit 5.
