Day of the Death

01 Nov

Tonight is the night to visit our departed beloved. I don’t have a lot to visit (Thanks, superior being). My husband, children, parents and grandmas and most of my friends are currently among us.

Some will visit their families tonight to spend the night talking, eating and enjoy family in the graveyard.

Tomorrow, all Mexican cementaries will be full of people with flowers, food and cleaning supplies (you have to clean the tombs)

Today’s post is just to remember me and us: Eventhough we are English teachers, we are as Mexican as the next person. We are even more Mexicans because we appreciate culture and language for living.

Check this article, the pictures are super cute and geeky. (May the force be with you)
